Patient Bill of Rights:

Receiving optimal health services is the right of the patient, these services should be as respectful, honest, fair, prompt and free from discrimination as possible, the special conditions of the deaf patient, the child, the foreign language, etc., should be considered based on up-to-date knowledge, the patient’s interests and appropriate facilities and conditions, and should be free from pain and suffering, in emergency situations, regardless of the obligation to cover the cost or along with providing the ground for transfer to other appropriate centers. The information should be provided to the patient in a desirable and sufficient manner, including the following:

 

  1. The possible costs of the covered insurances, the name and liability of the medical staff members, the provisions of the patient’s bill of rights, the weaknesses, strengths, and possible complications of the treatment method and explanation of alternative treatments, how to access the treating physician, the necessary training related to the disease, the pictures of the information recorded in the file.
  2. The patient’s right to freely choose and make decisions in receiving health services must be respected, the patient has the right to choose the following cases: Request to choose the treating physician and do so, if possible, choose the center that provides diagnostic and therapeutic affairs, and seek the opinion of the second physician as a consultant, participate in the research, accept or reject the proposed treatment after being informed, other than emergency cases, at the discretion of the physician, sufficient time to make a decision and make a choice. No risk

 

  1. The principle of confidentiality and respect for the patient’s privacy should be respected, the patient’s privacy should be respected and the necessary facilities should be provided for this purpose, only the patient, the treatment group and authorized legal persons have the right to access the patient’s information, accompanying the trusted person in the diagnostic stages is the patient’s right, unless it is against medical necessity.
  2. Access to an efficient system:

 

The patient has the right to complain to the competent authorities in case of violation of his/her rights without disturbing the quality of the services received, and to be informed of the results of his/her complaint to the competent authorities and to be informed in the same way after the investigation.
